We would like to introduce you to our latest diamond in the rough! We have worked tirelessly, on the ground, in Katmandu to find a socially, economically, and environmentally responsible Nepalese clothing manufacturer that shares our passion about preserving the beautiful culture of Nepal.  Two years of searching has paid off!  We have partnered with a local Katmandu merchant that meets all of the strict criteria that we set forth and places a premium on skills for which the Nepali culture is famous. We are all very passionate and honored to be afforded the opportunity to help preserve this amazing heritage, culture, and to be able to contribute to improving the quality of life of the Nepalese people, overall.  We have visited the factory, in person, so we have seen the modern equipment with our own eyes.  We have fully vetted the materials used to ensure that they socially and responsibly sourced.  We have met the people working at every level of the operation and they all never fail to give tremendous accolades to their employer and to testify to great generosity, tolerance, and flexibility.  The employees are given livable wages, paid time off for vacations and religious holidays, sick leave, free housing and food.  The owner is a working owner, which means he's active in every level of the manufacturing process, from receiving the raw materials to embroidery and hand dying the fabrics. Every single item is created by a hand that has years of training provided by generations of expertise. From cutting out patterns and dying each piece of fabric to hand embroidering to the final stitch - it is all done by the hand of a traditional Nepalese textile artist.
